Betty Jane Chamberlin
Born in Charleston, W. Va., on Oct. 29, 1922, she was the daughter of the late William B. and Metta (nee Brower) Erickson.
A former resident of Auburn Township, Betty lived in Ocala, Fla., from 1987-2009, before moving to Huntsburg. She had been employed as a school bus driver for 17 years at Crestwood Schools, from where she retired. Betty would return to Ohio for two weeks every year after moving to Florida so that she could go visiting with her former friends and family members.
She was gifted at sewing and quilting, and enjoyed bicycle riding with her late husband while they resided in Florida.
On Dec. 22, 1978, she married Kenneth J. Chamberlin, who preceded her in death on March 2, 2010.
Also preceding was her brother, William Erickson; and grandchildren Dawn and Timothy.
Survivors include her children, Joseph (Darlene) Zenisek, Michael Zenisek and Linda (Dennis) Schreckengost, all of Troy, Neva (John) Cummings, of Long Branch, N.J., and Karen (Rich) Ardolino, of West Long Beach, N.J.,; 14 grandchildren; and many loving great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 20 at Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where visitation will begin at 5 p.m. until service time.
Final resting place will be in Troy Township.
