Helen L. Esenwine

1st EsenwineMIDDLEFIELD – Helen L. Esenwine, a longtime resident of Middlefield, passed away March 6, 2014, at her residence. She was 87.

Helen was born March 20, 1926, in Troy Township, daughter of William and Leah (nee Eggleston) Bartholomew.

She married Eugene Esenwine on May 24, 1947. They were married 56 years before he died on Oct. 8, 2003.

Helen was employed at Johnson Rubber and Mercury Plastics. She was a homemaker, an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.

She will be missed dearly by her friends and family, including her sons, Gregg (Jacquelyn) Esenwine, of Huntsburg Township, and Marc (Marcy Freidman) Esenwine, of South Euclid; grandchildren, Eric, Bonnie, Melissa, Joshua and John; great-grandchildren, Michael and Abigail; sisters Jean McNish and Shirley (Simon) Yoder, both of Middlefield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; brothers, Stanley, Dale, and Lyle; and sisters Christine Greenaway, Dorothy Fontanelle and Thelma Marks.

A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. March 11 at Middlefield Cemetery. Pastor D Ray Mullet, of Burton, will officiate.

Visitation is March 10, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Russell Funeral Service, 15670 West High St., Middlefield.
