Kenneth C. Kronk
CLARIDON TWP. – Kenneth C. Kronk, of Claridon Township, passed away Friday morning, April 10, 2015. He was 83.
Kenneth was born May 5, 1931, in Cleveland, to Carl F. and Ruth (nee Meyer) Kronk.
He graduated from Chardon High School, in 1949, attended The Ohio State University, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Europe, and graduated from Baldwin Wallace College, in 1957, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Kenneth married Iona Jean Peck, in Chardon, on Dec. 28, 1957.
He worked as an accountant at U.S. Steel for four years, prior to owning and operating Claridon Center Garage, a GMC Truck dealership, from 1961-1988.
Ken was an active member of the Claridon Congregational Church, served on the Geauga County Fair Board for 20 years, served on the Geauga Community Hospital Board of Directors and was a member of the Geauga County Ruritan Club and the Masons.
Ken’s true love was Houston Lake Camp, a hunting and fishing resort located in Northern Ontario. He shared that love with his family and guests while owning and operating Houston Lake Camp, both during his working years and later in his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Iona; son, David (Phyllis) Kronk; daughter, Karen (Luke) Randall; grandchildren, Janet Kronk, Laura Kronk, Joshua Randall and Nathan Randall; great-grandchildren, Aiden Kronk, Trevor Deane and Cooper Randall; and his black lab Sam.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Carl R. Kronk.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. April 18 at Claridon Congregational Church, 13942 Mayfield Road.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. April 18 at the church, with burial to follow at Claridon Center Cemetery.
