Born April 13, 1938 in Wilksville, Ohio, she was the daughter of Ruth (nee Rowsey) and Ernest Chittum.
She married James A. Hudson Sr., in Holly Springs, Miss., on March 2, 1958.
Lorene previously was the assistant activities director at Lakeland Nursing Home.
A 1957 graduate of Virginia Beach High School, she was a member of the United Church in Geneva.
She loved bowling at Sonny Lanes in Geneva and swimming at the East End YMCA in Madison.
She spent some time as a volunteer for Hospice of the Western Reserve.
Lorene also loved to make people laugh and, after she attended professional clown school, she performed in many venues, including the Geneva Grape Jamboree.
Lorene is survived by her son, James (Laura) A. Hudson Jr., of Ashtabula; daughter, Terri Lynn (Andy) Parma, of Jefferson; grandchildren, Andrea, Andrew, Christopher and Makenna; great granddaughters, Arieana and Makenzie; sisters, Betty Brewer, of Tennessee, and Mildred Southerland, of Flordia; brother Roy Chittum, of Tennessee; and best friend, Betty Austin, of Geneva.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother Warren Chittum.
Friends will be received 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway, Geneva.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 27 at the funeral home.
Final resting place will be Alexander Harper Memorial Cemetery in Unionville.
