Marcella L. Skilton Rodriguez
Marcella L. Skilton Rodriguez (nee Hofkenskyd), age 93, was born Oct. 12, 1920, in Cleveland, to William and Louise (nee Wahl) Hofkenskyd.
She was the wife of the late Kenneth Skilton and Anthony “Tony” Rodriguez; loving mother of Janet (William) Stein, of Akron, Anthony (Melinda “Winni”) Rodriguez, of Painesville, James (Beverly) Rodriguez, of Anderson, S.C., Joe (Joyce) Rodriguez, of Chardon Township, and David (Priscilla) Rodriguez, of Newbury Township; cherished grandmother of Pam (Dave) Schuellerman, Teresa (Paul) Stropkey, Cynthia (Jeff) Suszynski, Steve (Jennifer) Rodriguez, Rick (Lisa) Rodriguez, Rob (Michelle) Rodriguez, Denise (Paul) Hagan, Dave (Sandy) Rodriguez, Dan (Faith) Rodriguez, Chip and John Rodriguez, Tashia (Darren) Sanders and Sonya (Johnny) Calvert; and 29 great-grandchildren.
She also leaves her niece Margaret (Jim) Cannon and former daughter in law, Debbie Rodriguez.
Her parents; and siblings, Alda Finucan and William Hoff, are deceased.
Her wit, sense of humor and wisdom will be missed by all who knew her.
She was a loving wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Marcella had a great love of gardening, flowers, feeding the birds, traveling and bowling.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1 at the Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Feb. 28 at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Cleveland.
