Marie Warner

Marie Warner, age 94, longtime resident of Chester and Munson townships, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2014,  at her daughter’s home in California.

Born in Heidenheim, Germany, in 1919, to Michael and Marie Erhardt, Marie immigrated to America at the age of 11, graduated from Chester High School and, in 1942, married Richard F. Warner, who preceded her in death in 2002.

Before her 60-year marriage, Marie worked for and travelled with the Brigham Britton family as the children’s nurse.

As a homemaker and mother, Marie also had a leadership role with the Munson Township Zoning Commission and volunteered for many years as a Sunday school teacher at the Fowlers Mill Christian Community Church.

She is most fondly remembered for her laughter, her kindness and her zest for life by all who knew her, especially her loving family, including her daughters, Elaine Lytle (Richard), of Florida, and Marsha Kuhlman (Ronald), of California; and son, Charles (Sherry), of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, David, Jennifer, Greta, Phoebe and Chloe; and three great-grandchildren, Lily, Jonah and Kai.

May she rest in peace after a long life well lived.
