Michael J. Moriarty
CHARDON – Michael J. Moriarty, of Chardon, passed away Feb. 24, 2014, at the Cleveland Clinic. He was 63.
Born May 4, 1950, in Cleveland, to Joseph and Mary Louise (nee Wanstall) Moriarty, he had been a resident of Chardon since 1997, coming from Cleveland.
Mike worked as an electrician with Carmeuse Lime & Stone after working at Chase Brass and Copper.
He enjoyed reading, history, movies, music, Cleveland sports and crossword puzzles.
Mike’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his children.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gail (nee McDermott), of Chardon; adoring children, Joseph, of Chardon, Erin (Curtis) Farlee, of Royal Oak, Mich., Kerry (Patrick) McLees, of Greenville, S.C., and Martin, of Columbus; siblings, JoAnn Behm, of Florida, Daniel (Susan), of Chester Township, and MaryPat Moriarty, of Maryland.
His parents preceded him in death.
He was loved and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 27 at the Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon.
Private family burial will take place.
Visitation is Feb. 26, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
