N. Lynn Bahr
Born Jan. 11, 1941, in Detroit, Mich., to Carl and Flossie (nee Fike) Bahr, he lived in the Chardon area since 1966, having moved from Lima, Ohio.
Lynn proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps, from 1959 to 1965. He also served as a part-time Chardon Police Officer from 1968 until his retirement in 2004.
He also worked for The Associates Financial Service for many years.
Lynn was active as his girls’ softball coach for many years and attended all of their activities.
He was an avid Goldwing Motorcycle enthusiast and loved to take his ‘69 Corvette to Annabelle’s Diner every weekend in the summer. He enjoyed the “Oldies but Goodies” Rock and Roll.
Survivors include his daughters, Lisa Bahr, of Munson, and Michelle Poling, of Willoughby; and the light of his life, his granddaughter, Samantha.
Lynn also leaves his two dogs, Bear and Koda. He also leaves many special friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Karen Herold and Judith Stemen; and son-in-law, Jeff Poling.
The family will host a gathering Aug. 5, from 1-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
Concluding the gathering will be the Military Presentation.
