Robert A. Rayl

Rayl, BobHAMBDEN TWP. – Robert “Bob” A. Rayl, died July 29, 2014, at home in Hambden Township. He was 68.

Bob was born Feb. 1, 1946, in Chardon, and was a lifetime resident of the Chardon area.

He served as president of the Chardon Lions Club for many years, was active in youth sports leagues and was an avid hunter.

Bob was the beloved husband to Sara and father of Christine (Charlie) Juleff, Andrea Kaufman, Elizabeth (Dan) Osicki, Julia (Jeff) Botos, Robert T. (Kim Wood) Rayl, Glenn (Tina) Bontrager and Lisa Bontrager.

He also is survived by his brother Sam (Barb); sister, Cathy (Gary) Gramberg; brother Tom (Carole); 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Bob leaves behind many friends and his beloved dog, Mercy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Elizabeth Rayl; brother William; and sister-in-law Margaret.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 1 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury.

The family will receive friends July 31, from 5-8 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.

Private family burial will be in Hambden Township Cemetery.
