Stella Ohl

Stella OhlMIDDLEFIELD – Stella Ohl, 87, of Middlefield, passed away Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center.

Stella was born on May 27, 1927, in Windsor, daughter of Mike and Anna Majka.

She was a resident of this area since 1943.

Stella was a bank teller at Middlefield Bank 20 years.

She married Clarence “CJ” Ohl on April 20, 1957, in Middlefield. They were married 50 years, before he died on Aug. 25, 2007.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, since 1957, and a member of the Middlefield Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, from 1957 to December 2012.

Her passion was her family; she enjoyed being busy with yard work and taking care of her home.

Stella will be missed dearly by her three daughters, Judith (Richard) Cook, of Middlefield, Cynthia (William) Hull, of Burton Village, and Kathy (Joseph) Mayoros, of Troy Township; grandchildren, Jason (Kelly) Cook, Matthew (Stacy) Cook, Chrissy Hull, Stacey (Eric) Brindo, Kailey Hull and Jennifer and Ryan Mayoros; and great-grandchildren, Ashleigh and Zachary Cook, and future baby boy Brindo.

Her sister Mary Pettit, of Bristolville, also survives her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, CJ; parents; grandson Christopher Hull; brothers, Jospeh and Stanley Majka; and sisters Rose Zysko, Helen Harrison and Sophie King.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9 at Russell-Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 West High St., Middlefield, with Rick Reid officiating.

Visitation is Sunday, Feb. 8, from 2-5 p.m., at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Middlefield Cemetery.
