March Madness 3 on 3 Tourney
Cardinal Athletic Boosters will hold a straight double elimination 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament March 7 beginning at 5 p.m. at Cardinal Middle School.
Cost is $5 per player for three to four player teams. Tournament is for grades 3-12.

Motivational Speaker Set to Address Cardinal Community
“You can never change your past, but you can change your future!” — Reggie Dabbs
These words comprise the central message of a nationally recognized motivational speaker, Mr. Reggie Dabbs.
The Cardinal community will have the opportunity to hear Mr. Dabbs’ message using humor and his love of saxophone as he comes to Middlefield to speak with students and staff on the importance of making positive choices in their lives regarding adolescent pressures and how positive choices and succeeding in the classroom will affect their futures.
Mr. Dabbs also stresses to students the importance of families in their lives and how lucky they are to have families that love and support them.
Presentations will be held April 10 at 10:15 a.m. in the Cardinal Intermediate School gym, at 12:15 p.m. in the Cardinal High School gym and 1:45 p.m. in the Cardinal Middle School cafetorium
The assembly is made possible in part by a contribution from Kinetico Inc. and the Kinetico Community Support Program.
Kindergarten Enrollment
The birthday cutoff date for 2014-15 kindergarten enrollment has changed to Aug. 1 from Sept. 30. This means children must be 5 prior to Aug. 1 to enroll in kindergarten.
Registration and enrollment packets for new kindergarten students will be available in the Jordak Elementary School office beginning March 1.
Registration and vision and hearing screenings will take place March 31 to April 4 in the intermediate school gym from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Parents must have all information completed and all required documentation with them. Busing consult will occur at registration if one’s child will be riding the bus to and from school. Complete the form in the enrollment packet.
