All Aboard The Polar Express
On Dec. 13, students in the Title 1 reading program were all invited to head to the North Pole on the Polar Express. With a ticket in hand, students dressed in their pajamas were ready to board the train.
As a group, they enjoyed hot chocolate, peppermint bark, candy canes and cookies while they listened to their conductor read “The Polar Express.” Students were asked to ring their bells when they heard key words such as “Christmas, Bells, Polar Express, and North Pole.”
The Christmas spirit spread quickly through the intermediate school. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
French Students Dine Out
Twenty-one students and six adults went to Le Petit Triangle restaurant Dec. 16 for a French meal. This trip is an annual event, and everyone enjoys trying French dishes such as escargot, quiche, croque monsieur sandwiches and chocolate crepes.
The Cardinal kids were well behaved, polite and appreciative of the cuisine. Everyone had a good time.
CIS Student Council
The Cardinal Intermediate Student Council helped the board office wrap gifts for families to be delivered for Christmas. Donations came from staff members, Cardinal High School Student Council and CVS of Middlefield. Denise Sinito from the Agape Word & Worship Church dropped off a carload of gifts from its members.
Thanks to all for the generous gifts.
