Career Day Volunteers Needed
Ledgemont Jr./Sr. High School is having a Career Day on April 19 to promote career awareness and to encourage students to think about their future. Ledgemont’s Career Day serves as an opportunity to broaden students’ professional horizons. Participation from the community is vital in demonstrating what options are open to them.
There are two parts to the event: individual speakers talking to classes in grades 7-12 and a practice job fair for 11th and 12th-graders.
Speakers will have four half-hour sessions to discuss the ins and outs of their professions with a question and answer segment toward the end of each session.
Those who participate in the job fair will have a booth or table where they can display information about their career and/or company. Students will have the opportunity to approach them with resumes and questions to gain a better idea of what companies look for in candidates and how to conduct themselves in a job interview.
Community members interested in speaking to the students or setting up a booth at the job fair should contact Mrs. Carrie Kleinhenz at email@example.com.
