District Recognition Dinner

The Chardon Board of Education and Chardon Education Association recently hosted the school district’s annual recognition dinner at St. Denis Party Center. The event honors teachers, administrators, board members and volunteers for their years of service to the district.

Dr. Michael Hanlon presented the Superintendent’s Award to two outstanding individuals who, over the years, have made a significant contribution to the Chardon Schools. Receiving this year’s award were Betce Wainio and Jill Enright.

Both have demonstrated a longtime commitment to the district, giving selflessly to make their school community a better place for students and staff to achieve their goals. From the smallest classroom project to the largest district initiative, they have always been there to see it through.

Chardon Education Association President Tammy Segulin recognized Mike Nedrow with CEA’s Friend of Education Award.

Mrs. Segulin said, “Mike Nedrow has been a steadfast proponent of the Chardon Education Association and its individual members. He remains an active Chardon resident and business owner, giving back to the schools whenever he can.”
