Chardon Rotary Contest

Congratulations go to senior Allison Kuhar and junior Rorey Smith who both placed at the Chardon Rotary’s Annual Speech Contest at the Bass Lake Inn on March 10.

Allison’s speech on the topic of hydrogen fuel cell cars for a greener planet earned her second place honors and a cash award.

Rorey’s speech on the topic of refugees earned him third place honors and a cash award.

NDCL Performing Arts Department chairperson Shirley Ivancic Stall coached Allison and Rorey for the competition.

Bloodmobile April 4

The Red Cross Bloodmobile will visit NDCL on April 4 to accept blood donations from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Baker Gym.

The Red Cross encourages all healthy persons who are at least 16 years old and who weigh at least 100 pounds to donate. Sixteen-year-olds need a signed parental permission form to donate.

Parents and other relatives who wish to donate blood should feel free to come to school at their convenience during the school day on April 4.

Spring Open House

NDCL will host a family open house for prospective students and their families on April 15, from 6-8 p.m. NDCL students, parents, teachers, administrators and coaches will be on hand to share the spirit, energy and opportunities that are all part of the NDCL experience.
