Here Come The Brides
Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School’s Performing Arts Program will present “Here Come the Brides” Nov. 21-23 in NDCL’s Pat and Janet O’Brien Center for the Performing Arts. Presented through special arrangement with Heuer Publishing, all performances will begin at 7:30 p.m.
A comedy by William D. Fisher, it tells the story of two bachelors: Jimmy Took (senior Austin Drozin) and his roommate Bill Thompson (junior Cole Prots). Jimmy learns that his only living relative, his wealthy Uncle Dan (senior Connor Hren), is coming to town to meet his bride. The problem is that Jimmy is not married. Hilarious antics unfold as Jimmy tries to find someone–anyone–to be his wife.
Other cast members include senior Joe Frankhauser as Mr. Oswald, senior Sydney Otto as Madge Burns, senior Katie Moorman as Aunt Ellen, sophomore Machala Comenschek as Peggy Westfield, senior Emma Scott as Mrs. Duvalle-Smythe, freshman Savanah Insana as “Bubbles” Duvalle, senior Xiaoting Wei as Lady MacBeth and senior Elizabeth Cielec as Nurse McDaniel.
Performing Arts Department chairperson Shirley Ivancic Stall will direct the production, Mr. Derek Green will serve as the technical director, Mrs. Mary Wheelock as the costumer and Miss Melissa Parey as the box office manager for the performances.
All tickets are $8 and must be reserved and purchased through an online system. Visit ndcl.org to purchase tickets.
The ticketing website features a theater seating diagram to help choose from available seats. Pick up the tickets at the box office on the evening of the performance. Tickets may also be picked up at the school office during regular school hours. Allow 24 hours for ticket orders to be processed.
Tickets will also be available at the door for that evening’s performance 30 minutes prior to curtain time.
Board Game Collection
NDCL’s Christian leadership class is sponsoring a collection of gently used or new board games, video games, card games or other similar items for soldiers serving our country overseas. The collection will run throughout the month of November.
NDCL’s goal is to collect and ship 100 board games. Each game will be accompanied by a handwritten thank you note to the soldiers for their service.
Personal Tour Evenings
Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School will host personal tour evenings (PTEs) for prospective students and their families to learn about NDCL on Nov. 20 and Dec. 10 from 6-8 p.m.
