17th Annual Science Fair

On Jan. 22, Notre Dame Elementary School students participated in the 17th annual NDES Science Fair. Eighty judges evaluated more than 236 projects that were designed and showcased by first through eighth-grade students.

Approximately 10 of the top seventh and eighth-grade projects will be selected to go on to the Northeastern Ohio Science and Engineering Fair to be held at Cleveland State University in March.

STEM Class Gutter Regatta

Notre Dame kindergarten students became engineers as they applied their knowledge of buoyancy and wind power to build and test sail boats in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) class. Students sailed their boats and then redesigned their sails in an effort to beat their mark in a second time trial.
