Cow’s Eye Dissection

State of the art technology is seamlessly integrated across the science curriculum at NDES during a dissection of an eye. Mr. Jason Salerno’s seventh-grade science class dissected a cow’s eye and used iPad technology as a reference tool during the dissection.

Technology Aids Spelling

Students in Ms. Julie Amantea’s first-grade class learn how to spell utilizing the ActivBoards and the Spelling City website. This helps reinforce spelling patterns with the weekly spelling words and engages the children with the use of technology. Each classroom at NDES is fully equipped with ActivBoards and iPads.

Full-Day Preschool

Notre Dame Elementary Preschool will be offering a full-day preschool program for the 2014-15 school year in addition to its half-day program. As a convenience to families, before care and extended day programs for preschool and elementary will be offered.

Limo and Lunch in Style

The Notre Dame Parent Association recently held its annual auction at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. One of the items auctioned was “Lunch and a Limo,” which was won by Joe and Barbara Williams. Their daughters, Madeline and Kate, were treated to a limousine ride to Mangia! Mangia! in Newbury with two teachers and a few friends.
