The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriffs Office Sept. 27 through Oct. 3. In total, the sheriffs office handled 324 calls during this seven-day period.
10:22 p.m., Sperry Road, Newbury. In lobby. Complainant advising his wallet with ID, debit card, $200 and cell phone were taken from him by his mother. She will not give them back. Spoke with complainant about matter. Will follow up with mother to resolve issue.
3:57 p.m., Hayes Road, Middlefield. Subjects are throwing tables, lawn equipment and propane tanks in her yard. Property was on the property line.
4:07 p.m., Fairgate Boulevard, Newbury. Neighbors threw some kind of animal feces on complainants car. Deputy advised. Complainant believes neighbor threw dog feces onto her car over an ongoing dispute about their dogs. Complainant just wanted this incident documented at this time.
11:23 p.m., Washington Street, Auburn. Battered female in the lobby and the boyfriend is yelling and trying to get in the station. Report to follow.
12:34 p.m., Colburn Road, Chardon. Sometime during the day, complainant found stickers on all her doors. Crime alert. Caller just wants this on file. She does not want to see a deputy.
6:42 p.m., Zrolka Drive, Huntsburg. Someone shot complainants dog. Dog is not at the vet. Suspect renter/neighbors, unknown name.
3:40 p.m., Highview Avenue, Newbury. Having problems with a business partner. Complainant believes he may be stealing his mail. Would like to speak with a deputy. Not a law enforcement matter. Advised to handle with attorney and civil court.
5:44 p.m., Brakeman Road, Hambden. Bottle of Crown Royal and a burn pile found on property.
3:11 p.m., Tavern Road, Troy. Received several calls from three different numbers. Subject making sexual comments. Sounds like the same person. Would like a report. Caller advised she was looking for a man, can make him very happy. Then requested the complainants credit card number and bank account. Deputy called one of the numbers. This may be a form of scam.
5:34 p.m., Thwing Road, Chardon. Daughter and her boyfriend have been sending threatening text messages to the complainant. They are stating they are going to kill her. There isnt any indications they are on their way, how or when this would occur. According to complainant, daughter is a pill popper and her boyfriend is a drug user. Complainant advised to seek protection order to limit unwanted text, messages, calls.
