The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriffs Office Aug. 30 through Sept. 5. In total, the sheriffs office handled 428 calls during this seven-day period.
10:41 a.m., Shedd Road, Middlefield. Sick fox in the barn. Fox has no hair. They have fox locked in the barn.
3:41 p.m., Zenith Drive, Newbury. Neighbors screaming at me and calling me names when I am caring for my mothers property. Deputy advised. Report to follow; both parties advised for the time being to leave each alone and stay on their respective properties.
8:58 a.m., Auburn Road, Munson. Employee is intoxicated. Is walking down the road; left the site with a beer in his hand and possibly some tooks. Boss does not want him to come back; the boss did pick him up in Hartsgrove. Verbal argument only. Employers dont want male back on property.
8:34 p.m., Thwing Road, Chardon. Twenty-two-year-old male is being belligerent, yelling at family members and refusing to leave. No alcohol or drugs, no weapons, no violence. Deputy advised. Family having problems with disrespectful, adult child who lives in the home. Advice given; no crime.
9:25 p.m., Chardon Windsor Road, Claridon. Callers home has been TPd multiple times over the last few weeks. Daughter, who is in high school, overheard it may happen again tonight. Caller is requesting extra patrol during the overnight hours. Residence sits a distance off the road, so if there is a vehicle parked at the end of the drive, it should not be there.
2:19 p.m., Bell Street, Newbury. Harassment through emails, Facebook and text messages, voicemail. Deputy advised. Will call the subject and ask for the harassment to stop. Complainant will print out off emails and texts over the weekend. A message was left for subject to call deputy back.
7:17 p.m., Hosmer Road, Parkman. Caller has been having an issue with two vehicles on 422 in the morning en route to work with road rage. Has been going on for approximately a year and a half. Driver gives caller a hand signal like a gun. Complainant wanted to report a male in a beige Jeep is driving erratic in the mornings. They exchanged hand gestures this morning in the City of Warrensville. Advice given.
7:52 a.m., Bradford Drive, Munson. Someone is yelling obscenities from behind the house across the street. Sounds like a woman. It is really foul language. Advised female to not use profane language. Female not cooperative with deputies. Female stated her right to freedom of speech. Continuing neighbor dispute over fence and grass, and music and basketball.
4:32 p.m., Main Market Road, Troy. Customers, canoers are threatening the bartender. They are at the bar. They crawled over the bar at one time. They have threatened the bartender and she was crying.
