The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriffs Office Oct. 4-10. In total, the sheriffs office handled 316 calls during this seven-day period.

Harassment

Oct. 5

3 p.m., Burton Windsor Road, Middlefield. Caller states someone from the humane society has been harassing her and caller would like to make report. Caller states humane society has come to her residence three days in a row threatening to take way her animals because they are malnourished. Caller states she suffers from PTSD and has a medical need for the animals. Complainants husband gave up their one dog to the humane society a few minutes ago and she is not taking it well. Husband was advised about the numerous complaints received concerning their dog and he understood. Male will try to explain this to his wife when she calms down.

Oct. 8

1:19 p.m., Kevin Lane, Hambden. Female wrote all over the windows in shoe polish.

Suspicious

Oct. 7

8:30 a.m., Cherry Hollow Drive, Chardon. Female sleeping on the couch. When she woke up she can hear a male snoring upstairs. Son has left for school and husband is out of state. Female is in the garage. Female just located husbands truck in the driveway. Was her husband.

12:44 p.m., Burton Windsor Road, Middlefield. Suspicious male brought more items to the scales. The owner would like to speak to a deputy to check if items are stolen. Last week had a deputy come out for the same male. Deputy advised he would have a detective get in touch with complainant and no one has yet.

Oct. 8

3:01 p.m., Rock Creek Road, Thompson. Park manager located a red infectious disease bag in the field near Rustic Pines. There is also a pile of clothing including a bloody shirt, a cane, hat and shoes. Park manager collected the items and will meet deputy at the park managers office.

Oct. 9

8:32 a.m., Chardon Road, Chardon. Male and possibly ex-girlfriend are running around at night time and last night they shot mace into the furnace intake, making the caller and his dog sick. They also put horse poop on the side garage.

Theft

Oct. 5

3:11 p.m., Mayfield Road, Huntsburg. Theft report at Huntsburg Township Cemetery.

Vandalism

Oct. 6

9:24 a.m., Princeton Road, Huntsburg. Rebel flag and male genitals drawn on the roadway Princeton between Huntley and produce farm.
