Fowler's Mill Open House
Fowlers Mill Christian Church, 10755 Mayfield Road, is holding a community open house on Sept. 29, from 3-9 p.m. There will be family activities, crafts, balloon artist, obstacle course and puppet show.
Praise Apella, a Christian choral group, will end the evening with a concert at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Ohio Senate Candidates Night
The non-partisan Geauga County Tea Party will hold its Ohio Senate candidates night Oct. 1, from 7-9 p.m., at the Chardon Library. (Please note date and location change from Sept. 27 at Munson Township Hall.)

Mark Twain for President
Starting Oct. 1, tickets will be available for the appearance of Samuel Langhorn Clemens, aka Mark Twain, as portrayed by Dave Ehlert at Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Education Center, 13000 Auburn Road, Munson. The program takes place at 7 p.m. Nov. 3
Mr. Ehlert is a master impressionist and popular Branson, Mo., performer. Refreshments served.

At the Senior Center
The League of Women Voters and the Geauga County Senior Center are co-sponsoring a candidates night Oct. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Senior Center, 12555 Ravenwood Drive, Munson. All local candidates have been invited to speak.
There will also be discussion of important issues on the Nov. 6 general election ballot. The event is open to the public. Reservations are not necessary.

NDCL Alumni Homecoming
All Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin alumni are invited to attend the alumni homecoming social Oct. 5, from 5-7p.m. in the NDCL cafeteria, 13000 Auburn Road, Munson. The event will precede the homecoming football game.

Shopping Extravaganza
The all-volunteer Friends of WomenSafe will hold a Tickled Pink Shopping Extravaganza Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Kent State University, Geauga Campus. Shoppers can choose from a variety of clothing, cosmetics and food, all at reasonable prices.
Admission is $1 per person; children under 12 are free.
Proceeds benefit the services and housing offered to victims of domestic violence at The Green House, Ravenna Road, Munson.
Shutterbugs Camera Club
The next meeting of the Shutterbugs Camera Club will be held Oct. 4, from 7-9 p.m., at the Geauga Park District's West Woods Nature Center. All levels of photography artists are invited to attend and bring work for a gentle critique.

Free Sunday Dinner
St. Luke Episcopal Church, 11519 Wilson Mills Road, Munson, will offer a free homemade Sunday dinner Oct. 7, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Fellowship Room. There will be a choice of soups, breads and desserts.
Donations are not necessary, but will be appreciated. To help prepare the meal, serve the dinner, or for more information, call 440-285-4641.
Munson Cub Scout Pack 91
Munson Cub Scout Pack 91 will be recruiting new members, currently in grades 1-5, at the Pack's Oct. 26 meeting at the Geauga Park District's Rookery in Munson. The Cub Scouts will also start their "Popcorn Fundraiser," which helps support the activities of Pack 91.

Congratulations
Notre Dame Elementary School, 13000 Auburn Road, Munson, celebrates its 55th anniversary this year with the theme of "Believe," which encourages a strong belief in the home-school partnership. Students and their families have enjoyed several events celebrating this milestone.
