The Samaritans Society of St. Edward’s and St. Lucy’s recently held its annual Thanksgiving food giveaway for families in need throughout the area. Many of the food items and monetary donations came from the Middlefield Police Department’s Fill-A-Cruiser event held Nov. 12 at Walmart in Middlefield as well as donated items from Save A Lot. Approximately 2,000 food items were delivered on Nov. 19.
