Serah and Ryan Kalcher stood together March 2 on the pavement outside their renovated brick building at 101 Main Street on Chardon Square, giant scissors in hand, as they took part in a celebratory ribbon-cutting. The young couple owns Alvord Insurance Agency, a family-owned independent agency that recently moved back to Main Street after a stint on South Street. It occupies part of the historic structure that previously belonged to Pat Martin, owner of Antiques on the Square. Martin currently leases the north side of the building to continue her business.
