The Chardon Schools Board of Education approved a proposal to place a 15-year, 0.63-mill bond issue on the November ballot at their regular board meeting July 19, once again asking the community to invest in educational facilities.

The Chardon Schools Board of Education approved a proposal to place a 15-year, 0.63-mill bond issue on the November ballot at their regular board meeting July 19, once again asking the community to invest in educational facilities. Voters have twice rejected plans to replace their school buildings, most recently in November 2019 when a 5.3-mill bond issue failed with 56% voting against and 44% voting in favor of a 37-year $76 million bond to fund the construction of a new grade-six-to-12 school.
