I am thankful for all of those who supported me throughout my time in public service. – Bob Rogish

Chester Township Trustee Bob Rogish announced his resignation May 7 from his elected position on the board of trustees.

In a letter to the board and county officials, he said he is also resigning from his elected position as supervisor for the Geauga County Soil and Water Conservation District and from his appointed position on the Geauga County Planning Commission.

“I am thankful for all of those who supported me throughout my time in public service,” Rogish wrote. “I truly hope for the passage of the Chester Township Fire / EMS levy today, as it will help set the future of our township and provide what the people of Chester deserve. I wish my fellow elected and appointed officials the best as they continue to serve the residents of Chester Township and Geauga County.”

Chester Township trustees Ken Radtke and Joe Mazzurco will pick Rogish’s replacement and if they are unable to agree on a candidate, the decision will be left to Geauga County Probate Court Judge Tim Grendell.
