Born in Windber, Pa., on Dec. 18, 1921, to Carmine and Laura (nee Bucci) DiGiulio, she graduated from Windber Area High School in 1939. She married the love of her life, John Alesandrini, on April 26, 1946.

Anne had been a resident of Eastlake, prior to moving to Chardon in 2005.

She was a strong woman of faith and a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Chardon. She said the rosary daily for each one of our needs.

Loving mother of Margaret Alesandrini and Ray Alesandrini, of Chardon, John (Linda) Alesandrini, of North Canton, and Linda (Dave) Christian, of Concord Township; and #5; grandchildren, Mike Alesandrini and Debbie Waller; seven great-grandchildren; and Isabel.

Anne was preceded in death by her husband, in 1967; three sisters, Mary Turcato, Sue Altomare and Gilda Lesko; and four brothers, Ralph, Nick, Tony and Albert DiGiulio.

Anne’s favorite hobby was her family. She loved them deeply and laughed often. She was smart, funny, generous, gentle and kind.

Her passions were sewing clothes for her children and friends, and reading, until AMD-wet stole most of her sight.

Anne was an excellent cook, and our friends and extended family were always welcomed in her home and at her table.

She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed watching DWTS, AGT and American Idol.

During World War II, Anne supported the war effort in Latrobe, Pa., by making bullets.

Anne’s favorite color was purple, so if you wish, please wear something purple in her honor. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
