CHARDON TWP. – JoAnn Fannin (nee Butcher), age 83, of Chardon Township, died Oct. 29, 2017, at Heather Hill Care Communities, Munson Township.
Born March 6, 1934, to Lindsey and Mary (nee Tackett) Butcher, in Van Lear, Ky., she has been a Chardon area resident since 1967.
JoAnn enjoyed crocheting, knitting and especially shopping.
She was a devoted and loving wife of 63 years, and was a cherished and dedicated mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Herman, whom she married June 5, 1954, in Paintsville, Ky.; children, Teresa (Brian Stephens) Fannin and Phillip Lee Fannin; and two beautiful granddaughters, Lindsay Jean and Jessica Lynne Fannin.
She also leaves her brother Tom (Pat) Butcher; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Billy, Lindsey Jr. and Everett; and sister, Jean Salyers, who will all greet her in heaven.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4 at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
Private family burial will be held.
