Patricia Patton

PARKMAN TWP. – Patricia “Pattie” (nee Hudgins) Patton, age 68, of Parkman Township, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021, at Hillcrest Hospital.

She was born on May 7, 1952, in Williamsburg, Va., daughter of John Noble Hudgins and Alma (nee Wilkins) Hudgins.

After graduating from York High School, in Yorktown, Va., she attended the College of William and Mary. She received her bachelor’s degree in education in 1974.

Pattie married John S. Patton on July 5, 1975. They moved to Parkman and began to run Patton Pest Control together. When it snowed in May once, she informed her husband if it snowed in June, she was going back to Virginia.

She was a member of the Daughters of The American Revolution, the Nelson United Methodist Church and former member of the United Methodist Church in Middlefield.

Pattie always appreciated life with a quiet and loving sense of humor.

She was a loving mother and wife, who lived for her children and grandchildren. She was always at the school volunteering with events while her girls were in school. She will be missed dearly.

Pattie is survived by her beloved husband John of 45 years; her loving daughters, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Ker, of Brentwood, Tenn., Molly (Michael) Marsh, of Auburn Township, and Mary Patton, of Parkman; her five grandchildren, Reagan, Colin and Hudson Ker, and Michael and Matthew Marsh; brother-in-law, H. Douglas Jahn; several nieces and nephews; and many grand animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, John H. Hudgins; and sister-in-law, Cynthia P. Jahn.

Calling hours will be held at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 West High St., Middlefield, on Friday, March 19, 2021, from 6-8 p.m., and Saturday, 12 noon until the Celebration of Life at 1 p.m., at the funeral home.

Due to the Covid pandemic, please wear masks. Services will be streamed on the funeral home Facebook page. Link will be on website.

Burial will follow at Overlook Cemetery.
