Chardon will be in search of a new Boys Lacrosse Head Coach after it was announced that Casey Seaborn wouldn’t return for the 2022 season.

Chardon will be in search of a new Boys Lacrosse Head Coach after it was announced that Casey Seaborn wouldn’t return for the 2022 season.

Seaborn has been part of the Hilltopper program for four year dating back to 2018.

In a letter to supporters, Seabron said, “I am proud of the growth and success of the players and their commitment to build a standard of excellence along with a winning culture that will carry them through life, long after their playing careers are over.

The Hilltoppers finished 11-7 on the season, losing to Richfield Revere in the first round of the OHSAA Tournament. They recently graduated 11 seniors from the 2021 team.

They will return one of the top scorers in the area in – rising junior Cooper Felger, he had 51 goals on the season Fellow junior Ethen Jackson is third on the team with 20 assists and seven goals. While Michael Oh is second on the team in ground balls with 62 ground balls and 38 takeaways. Goalie Landry Livengood also returns for the Hilltoppers.

Chardon has seen major growth recently with at the middle school and youth levels. The need for a strong feeder program will be essential for the new head coach as lacrosse grows within the district.

While also balancing a high school program that will return 17 players that appeared in at least nine games last season. The next step in building a strong program will be adding a junior varsity team and additional coaches to support the growing number of players at the high school level.
