Register for Huntsburg Twp. Senior Trash Pickup

The Huntsburg Township Trustees and Huntsburg Road Department are joining forces with the Geauga County Department on Aging for the 2014 Huntsburg Township Senior Trash Pick-Up Day on July 17.

To register for trash pickup, one must be 60 years of age or older and live in Huntsburg Township. The township road crew and the Department on Aging will pick up refuse from registered seniors who need assistance and take it to the township dumpster.

No liquids, paint or other hazardous materials, construction debris, rocks, yard waste or household garbage will be accepted. All materials should be consolidated in strong boxes and items should be kept dry and tarped if possible. Appliances with Freon removed will be accepted.

Only 10 household items per home and the trash should be from the registered senior’s household only. Items must be left outside the garage, not curbside.

Seniors must be registered with the Department on Aging prior to pickup. Have items clearly marked for Huntsburg Township pickup if one cannot be home to sign for items.
