Another Successful Year —
The Chardon Kiwanis Club of would like to announce another successful year of Maple product sales.
All money raised will be reinvested 100 percent back into the community. Because of the gratefulness of the Chardon Community, the club will be able to support the awarding of numerous scholarships and other service driven programs throughout the year.
This year’s would not have been successful without the support of local businesses including Richards Maple Products, Fowlers Mill, Heinen’s, Wal-Mart and Giant Eagle.
In addition, The Kiwanis Club of Chardon would like to thank everyone who helped out with the Maple Syrup Bottling and everyone that came up to the cabin to support our Maple Syrup sales.
If you would like to learn more about the Kiwanis Club of Chardon, visit www.kiwanisclubofchardon.org or call 440-537-7316. We are always looking for new volunteers to help in our efforts to serve the community.

Thank You NDCL Students —
On Global Youth Service Day, on April 15, the students at Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin High School were truly taking care of others.
First, the students learned about food insecurity in our county. After holding a very successful canned food drive, Arya Achar led other students as they loaded cartons of donated food into waiting cars and delivered them to Pilgrim Christian Church, in Chardon, a Geauga Hunger Network food pantry location. There, they were joined by other volunteers to sort and distribute food and sundries to our needy neighbors.
The students showed generosity and kindness, and learned lessons that will surely help them become compassionate adults.
We are all fortunate to have local students like Arya who saw a need, obtained a grant from Youth Service America and Sodexo Corporation to cover costs, enlisted fellow students to take action, and made a difference in our community.
