2017 Real Estate Appraisal Property Visits

Geauga County Auditor Frank J. Gliha would like to notify the public that beginning in September there will be appraisers doing field work in preparation of the 2017 reappraisal.

This process takes approximately 18 months during which time residents may encounter appraisal staff visiting property to verify property information and building/home dimensions.

The appraisers will be viewing only the exterior of buildings and homes. Any property owner who wishes to have a more thorough inspection may feel free to contact the Auditor’s office to request an inspection at the contact information below. If occupants/residents are not available during the visit a door hanger will be left to notify the resident/occupant that a member of the auditor’s staff had been on site.

Please be advised the appraisers will be in marked vehicles and will have ID badges. If any resident has any concern that the person visiting their property is not from the county auditor’s office, they are urged to contact the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office or their local police department.

If residents have any questions or concerns, please contact the Geauga County Auditor’s Appraisal Office at 440-279-1600 or by email at appraisal@co.geauga.oh.us.
