Sheriff’s Report
April 6, 2017

The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office March 24-30, 2017. In total, the sheriff’s office handled 397 calls during this seven-day period.

SUSPICIOUS

March 28

12:34 a.m., Willow Lane, Hambden. Caller thinks someone is in her house. Heard noises in her kitchen and things crashing. Caller does have cats in the residence. Caller is downstairs and does not see anything. Believes it may have been the cats. Deputy and Ranger checked the perimeter and garage. No cause found.

March 30

6:58 p.m., Wilson Mills Road, Munson. Suspicious bullet found at the home of a subject that flagged down a deputy. Male wanted to report that he found a bullet lodged in his siding. He has no idea when it happened, nor does he have nay suspects. He will call if there is any more shooting that he believes is unsafe.

TRAFFIC OFFENSE

March 26

8:00 p.m., Bundysburg Road, Huntsburg. Caller reports two Amish boys were drinking and driving a buggy. Heading south from Burton Windsor Road. Caller states there was a female girl that fell out of the buggy and was run over. They transported the girl to her home. The boys are still driving down the road.

March 28

1:55 p.m., Chardon Road, Chardon. Male driving a FedEx truck almost hit me. Caller has him blocked in. He crossed over the lanes to back into a driveway. Ohio Highway Patrol declined because they are on private property. Deputy advised. Incident occurred in a dip. Conflicting stories about what happened. Complainant was advised to contact FedEx to file a complaint.
