City of Chardon
The City of Chardon Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing to consider the applications described below on Monday, May 15, 2017, at 6:30 P.M. in Council Chambers at the Municipal Center, 111 Water St, Chardon OH 44024. The meeting is subject to adjournment or recess to a later date without another Notice of Public Hearing (ORC 3115.05(c)).
PC Case #17-054: Applicant – Diane Farinacci is requesting variances from 1) Section 1133.05(4) to increase maximum lot coverage from 30% to 33.9% 2) Section 1133.05(7)(A) to decrease the minimum side yard from 12’ to 3.2’ along the westerly property line 3) Section 1133.05(7)(B) to decrease the total side yard from 25’ to 11.8’. Additionally she is requesting two minor variances as follows: 1) Section 1133.05(8) to decrease the minimum rear yard setback from 40’ to 6’ (currently 0’) 2) Section 1133.05(7)(a) to decrease the minimum side yard setback from 12’ to 8.8’ (currently 0.5’). The variances are to allow for the removal of an existing attached garage along the eastern and southern property lines and to construct a new attached garage on the western portion of the property. The property is located on the south side of Moffet Avenue approximately 150’ east of the intersection of Moffet Avenue and South Street. PC Cases #17-064 & #17-065: Applicant – Ben Sage is requesting a variance from Section 1133.05(2) that requires a minimum 250’ of frontage at the building setback line (Proposed 102.06’) The variance is to allow for Concept Plan approval of a lot split of approximately 10.1 acres to construct a single family residence off of Auburn Road. Additionally the applicant is requesting variances for the construction of a single family residence as follows: 1) Section 1155.37(f)(1) to allow for the driveway to be installed in gravel instead of concrete or asphalt. 2) Section 905.51(c)(3) to waive the installation of sidewalks along Auburn Road until which time there are sidewalks within 500’ of the property. Huntsburg Township
The Huntsburg Township Board of Trustees will receive sealed proposals until 3:00 p.m. on May 16, 2017, proposals will be opened and read aloud at 8:15 pm during the Trustees’ meeting on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 for the Spraying of MC70 and the spreading of washed # 8 limestone on Township Roads in Huntsburg Township, during the 2017 construction season.
Bid proposals may be obtained by calling the Huntsburg Township Fiscal Officer at 440-636-5486 or mailing to P.O. Box 280, Huntsburg, Ohio 44046. All bid proposals shall be submitted on forms provided by the Board of Trustees.
A bid bond or certified check, cashier’s check, or money order, on a solvent bank or savings and loan association, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, and liability insurance for injury to persons and/or damage to property in an amount not less than $1,000,000.00 and property damage liability insurance in an amount not less than $500,000.00, shall accompany each bid. The bid shall be let on a unit price basis.
The Huntsburg Township Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid or bids which are deemed most favorable to the Board at the time and under conditions stipulated, all in accord with the applicable provisions of the laws of the State of Ohio governing the conduct of the Board of Trustees.
