Choose from an all-you-can-eat fish dinner or a shrimp dinner. Dinner includes sides and beverage. Desserts are available for donation.
Family Dinner and Movie Night
May 26, 4 p.m.
First United Methodist Church of Middlefield combines its God Shares a Meal and its family movie night. There is no charge for either the meal that starts at 4 p.m. or movie that starts at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy burgers and sides as well as popcorn and beverages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Civil War Encampment
May 27 & 28, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Geauga County Historical Society will host a Civil War Encampment on the grounds of Century Village Museum in Burton. Over 300 re-enactors will provide a living history of the camp life and military action during the war and respond to questions from visitors concerning the great internal strife.

Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12 and free for children 5 and under. Food and drink will be available on the grounds. Period merchandise will be offered for sale. Select historical buildings at the museum will be open to the public.

Protect Geauga Parks

GOP Golf Outing
June 2
The Geauga County Republican Party will hold its annual golf outing at Wicked Woods Golf Club, 14085 Ravenna Road in Newbury. Golf is $75 per person and includes 18 hole scramble, cart, prizes, lunch and steak dinner. Lunch is at noon followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start. There will be games, raffles, Chinese auction and cash prize for the top winning team.
Dinner only is $40 and is at 5:30 p.m. There are also sponsorship opportunities.

Spaghetti Dinner

Perennial Party and Daylily Sale

The Western Reserve Daylily Society is joining Bremec Garden Center for its annual perennial party and daylily sale at Bremec’s, 12265 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. More than 150 different varieties of daylilies will be available for sale and shoppers will have the opportunity to win a raffle prize of the Ultimate Sacrifice daylily.

100 Gun Bash

Ducks Unlimited’s 100 Gun Bash will take place at the Geauga County Fairgrounds, 14373 Cheshire St. in Burton
Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
The first guns for the main drawing will be drawn at 1 p.m. and the last will be drawn at 5:30 p.m. Two guns will be given away every five minutes.
Ticket eligible for food, soft drinks, beer and a chance on all 100 guns. Winner need not be present. Food served from 1-4 p.m.

Newbury American Legion Post 663 is hosting its seventh annual Farmers Market featuring locally grown produce, homemade bake goods, crafts, antiques, collectables and local craftsman products in the Hunter Pavilion behind the Post located at 11008 Kinsman Road. The market is open Saturdays, starting June 24 through Sept. 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Flea Market Vendors Wanted
Auburn Community Church, 11076 Washington St., is hosting an outdoor flea market Aug. 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rain date is Aug. 12.
Vendors and individuals wanting to have a garage sale are encouraged to participate. Spaces are 25 feet wide and deep enough for tables as well as two standard-sized vehicles. Vendors must furnish their tables and chairs and to clean out the site at end of sale. Cost is $25 per space.
