Words and Wine, a local poetry reading series, is presenting Poetry in the Park at the gazebo in Veterans Park in downtown Painesville. Reading will be by northeast Ohio poets Tobin Terry, Tanya Plumeli, Louie Polzer, Bob Coughlin, Bryan Taylor, Margie DeLong, Christopher Franke, Don Lee and Tam Polzer.

Lawn chairs are recommended. Rain or shine.

Princess and the Pea at GLTG

July 6-8

The first Geauga Lyric Theater Guild summer workshop performances will be the well-known fairytale of “Princess and the Pea.” Presented by the Intermediate Summer Workshop cast and directed by Chloe Porter, the light-hearted story of a prince searching for a true princess will delight the whole family.

Performances will be Thursday and Friday at 7:30 pm, and Saturday at 2 p.m. All seats are $6 and can be purchased by calling the box office at 440-286-2255, online at www.geaugatheater.org or at the door.

The theater is located at 101 Water St. on Chardon Square.
