Fairmount Center for the Arts is now accepting registration for its fall classes, workshops and lessons in art, dance, music, theatre and fitness.

Fairmount Center for the Arts is now accepting registration for its fall classes, workshops and lessons in art, dance, music, theatre and fitness. Fall session I classes will be held Sept. 4 through Oct. 22. Session II classes will extend from Oct. 23 until Dec. 10.

Full seven-week session classes, three or five week mini classes, weekend workshops and private lessons will all be offered at Fairmount, 8400 Fairmount Road in Russell Township.

The School of Dance includes instruction for ages ranging 3years to adult, beginning with Kinderdance taught by Fredrick Moodie and continuing with the Fairmount Dance Theater (FDT) taught by professional dancers. The FDT offers cumulative curriculum-based classes in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz and contemporary with an introduction to acrobatics.

Art classes and workshops in ceramics, drawing, painting, and mixed media for 18 months through adults are available. Adults can participate in Fairmount’s inaugural Watercolor Paint Nite.

The School of Music offers private lessons for children through adult in guitar, piano, saxophone, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.

The Youth Theatre Lab (YTL) will present the production of “Kids’ Country,” directed by Patti Susman. The class meets Saturday mornings beginning Sept. 9 through Nov. 11. Beginners are welcome and all participants in the Youth Theatre Lab auditions will get a role. Show dates are Nov. 17-19 at the Mayfield Village Civic Center in Mayfield Village.

Join any of the fun and beneficial fitness classes such as fencing with fencing master and Olympic coach William Reith, body sculpting, Barre FX and yoga.
