Notes of Gratitude
Thank You —
What wonderful people we have in this community!
My son and his wife live in Houston and were evacuated by boat during the devastation in Houston, Texas. They were taken in by a kind couple who opened their home to two families and their dogs.
On Friday, Sept. 1, I was in Fowler’s Mill getting some food items to send to their host family to help with the meals. Anita, a woman in front of me in line at the cashier, and I were chatting and I mentioned why I was purchasing these items. After she paid for her purchases, she turned to the cashier and said, “I’ll pay for hers, too.”
What a kind, thoughtful and heart-warming thing she did. I had tears in my eyes and she gave me a hug. Thank you, Anita, from the bottom of my heart.
I then went to Richards Maple Products to complete my gift and to have it shipped. When I asked what I owed, she said, “Nothing. This is a way we can help, too.” More tears and more hugs.
With all the negatives we see and read today, it is folks like these who make me smile — and shed a few happy tears, too.
Thank you Anita and the folks at Richards Maple Products! You truly have touched my heart.
