Civic Orchestra Concert
Nov. 5, 4 p.m.
The Lakeland Civic Orchestra will present “Triple Threat,” its first concert of the 2017-18 season, in Lakeland’s Dr. Wayne L. Rodehorst Performing Arts Center, in D-Building on the main campus, 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland. The triple threat theme comes from a combination of poetry, ballet and music.

WGHS Presents “Little Women The Broadway Musical”

All friends, neighbors and Broadway enthusiasts are invited to attend West Geauga High School’s performances of “Little Women the Broadway Musical” on the West Geauga Middle School stage in Chester Township.
Based on the classic novel by Lousia May Alcott, “Little Women” follows the adventures of sisters Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March. High school performers include Tessa Smith, Caitlin Speyer, Abigail Moore, Megan Speyer, Aislyn Clark, Aidan Bryson, Zach Edwards, David Allen and Mark Kiec. The show is directed by Alli St. John and produced and music directed by Melanie Kennedy.
Tickets are available at the door. Prices are $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors.

Words and Wine
Nov. 14, 6:30 p.m.
Warrensville Heights resident Brian Taylor will be the featured poet at the next Words and Wine poetry reading series being held at Rider’s Inn, 792 Mentor Ave., Painesville. Published in the “Jawbone Open,” he has participated in four national poetry slams.
Open mic will precede his reading.

WomenSafe Theater Party
Nov. 26, 2 p.m.
The matinee performance of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” at the Chagrin Valley Little Theater is a benefit hosted by Friends of WomenSafe. The lobby will open at 1 p.m. for a gift certificate raffle. Complimentary refreshments will be served during intermission.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children 10 and under. The theater party is made possible through the continuing generosity of the Junction Auto Family.
Featuring the award-winning score, the musical is the story of Belle and the Beast, who happens to be a handsome prince cursed by a beautiful enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will be lifted. If not, he and his servants will be doomed for all eternity.
