Fairmount Winter Registration

Registration is now open for winter session at Fairmount Center for the Arts. The winter session runs Jan. 8 through March 11. The schedule includes ongoing classes such as Ballet I to Ballet VII and Fitness’ daily Body Sculpting. New to the schedule are a Hip-Hop dance class taught by Ryan Rosinski, a youth watercolor and drawing art course taught by David Bunkin, and Dance Sundays with Zydeco and Teacher’s Tap.

The Youth Theatre Lab will present the production of “The Wizard of Oz,” directed by Patti Susman, on May 11-13 at the Mayfield Village Civic Center.

Words and Wine

Jan. 9, 6:30 p.m.

Mitch James, assistant professor of composition and literature at Lakeland Community College, will be the featured poet at the next gathering of Words and Wine at Rider’s Inn, 792 Mentor Ave., Painesville.

Open mic will precede his reading.
