Joseph A. Nelson Jr.
CHARDON – Joseph A. Nelson Jr., age 57, of Chardon, died peacefully at his home April 3, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Cleveland on July 10, 1960, to Joseph and Linda (nee Timinski) Nelson Sr., he was a lifelong Chardon resident.
Joe a member of Geauga Aerie Eagles #2261. He was an avid fan of muscle cars and he loved to camp, golf and be outdoors.
His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, especially his granddaughter, Adriana.
Joe was a self-employed finish carpenter and was a dedicated craftsman.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Janet (nee Williams); children, Amanda (Gary) Swope, of Munson Township, and Joseph A. Nelson III, of Chardon; his mother, Linda, of Tucson, Ariz.; and siblings, Victoria (Tim) Dailey, of Chardon, Stephanie Nelson, of Tucson, Ariz., and Jennifer (Michael) Hannan, of Oakland, Calif.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, April 9, at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m., with burial immediately following at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
