The fifth annual St. Mary Parish Festival will feature rides, kids games, live entertainment, a casino, dancing, entertainment and more at 401 North St. in Chardon.

St. Helen’s unicyclists will perform Friday and there will be a full fireworks display Saturday night.

Bits & Leashes Bash

July 6, 5 p.m.

Rescue Village is partnering with the Chagrin Hunter Jumper Classic to put on its third annual Bits & Leashes Bash at the Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field. Proceeds will support the Rescue Village Barn Program and the Chagrin Hunter Jumper Classic’s Facilities Fund.

Attendees will enjoy a ringside cocktail party, raffles, silent auction and dinner, all while watching and betting on the infamous Horse & Hound Relay.

Tickets, which are $75 each, are available by calling 440-338-4819, ext. 45. Sponsor tables are also available.

Free Fresh Produce

July 7, 9-11 a.m.

Newbury United Community Church is hosting a fresh produce giveaway at the church located at 14961 Auburn Road.

Cleveland FoodBank provides the service to low income Geauga County residents. Please bring ID and bags.

BBQ Pork Roast Dinner

July 7, 5:30-7 p.m.

Chardon VFW Post 6519 Auxiliary is hosting a barbecue pork roast dinner at 752 Water St. There will be a $1,000 drawing at 7:10 p.m. Donation is $20.

Thompson/Ledgemont Reunion

July 8, noon

The annual Thompson/Ledgemont High School Old Timers Reunion will be held at Montville Community Center, 9755 Madison Road in Montville Township. Social time begins at noon followed by a potluck lunch at 1 p.m. Bring a dish to share and table service.

The Ledgemont Class of 1968 will be honored for its 50th anniversary, and the Ledgemont Class of 1979 will be welcomed for the first time.Nametags will be provided.

CCAC Classic Car & Bike Show

July 8, 12-4 p.m.

The Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce will host its ninth annual Classic Car and Bike Show on the Chardon Square.  All makes, models and years of cars, hot rods, motorcycles and trucks will be on display including one-of-a-kind vehicles.

Live music will be provided by Surfer Rex. The show will also feature food, an ice cream truck, a Chinese auction, 50-50 raffle and local vendors.

Entry fee is $10 per vehicle, with premium spots going to participants who preregister. Door prizes will be drawn for registrants with T-shirts, goody bags and dash plaques being given to the first 100 vehicles.

Proceeds from the show will benefit the Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce’s scholarship and community event funds.

Protect Geauga Parks

Protect Geauga Parks will be having a Shelter Sound-Off at the Minnow Pond Shelter at Beartown Lakes Reservation, 18870 Quinn Road in Auburn Township. Refreshments will be provided.

CV Herb Society Meets

The Chagrin Valley Herb Society will meet in the Bainbridge Library Garden on for a culinary herb picnic potluck. Bring a lawn chair; table service will be provided. Let Beth know what herb enhanced dish you will bring. Following lunch we will reconvene at a local garden (TBA).

It’s A Baby Life Run

July 22

The Chardon chapter of LIFE Runners is offering a 5K and 10K run at 8 a.m. and 1-mile fun run or walk at 8:15 a.m. to support Birthright Geauga, Inc. The race begins from the Birthright Geauga plaza parking lot located at 209 Center St., Chardon.

11th Annual Dice Run

July 28

Chardon Post 6519 will host the 11th annual Dice Run. Sign up begins at 10 a.m. at the Chardon Post, 752 Water St. Bikes depart from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and last bike in is at 4 p.m.

Complimentary snacks will be provided with a cash bar at each stop. All stops are VFW or American Legion posts.

Donation is $20 per rider and $5 per passenger. Event includes 50/50 pull tabs and doors prizes.

Vendors Sought For Arts Fair

Nov. 10, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Auburn Firedevils, auxiliary to the Auburn Volunteer Fire Department, is hosting its sixth annual arts, crafts and consultants fair at Adams Halls, 11455 Washington St., Auburn Township.

The group is seeking vendors for the event. Tables are $25 each. Tables and chairs are provided. There is plenty of parking for vendors and shoppers alike at the facility.
