The Geauga County Democratic Women’s Caucus will host “Changing Faces and Cases: Elections Matter When it Comes to the Judicial Branch, Too,” at the Geauga Democratic Party Headquarters and Social Hall, 12420 Kinsman Road, Newbury Township.
Join for salads, desserts and conversation on the judicial branch of government with three candidates for Geauga judicial positions: Darya Klammer, Mary Jane Trapp and Matt Rambo.

Maple Producers Twilight Walk
Aug. 17, 4 p.m.
Maple Producers of Northeast Ohio is holding a twilight walk, “Patch by Patch,” with Mark Wilthew, retired forester with the ODNR Division of Forestry, at 13034 Madison Road, Middlefield. Learn about sapling thinning, pole stance and over-story release of trees.
Join for a social cookout from 4-6 p.m. followed by the walk at 6:30 p.m. Dominion Grimm will be doing a demo on monitoring systems.

Flea Market On The Greens
Aug. 18, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Chesterland Historical Village will host its annual Flea Market On The Greens where bargain hunters can find antiques, fine collectibles, doll clothing, tools, glassware, vintage jewelry, Rogish Farms flowers, Lily Society lilies, home decor, repurposed items, furniture and more. The event also includes food and music.
The village is located on the corner of Caves and Mayfield roads in Chester Township.
CCC Rummage Sale
Aug. 18, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Community Church of Chesterland is having its annual rummage sale at the church located at 11984 Caves Road. Browse through a huge selection of items from household, books, tools, small furniture, craft and garage sale items. There is a bake sale and food is available.
Raccoon County Music Festival
Aug. 18, 12-7 p.m.
The Raccoon County Music Festival will be held at the Geauga County Historical Society’s Century Village Museum, 14653 East Park St. in Burton. It will feature performances on two stages, square dancing, spontaneous jamming and more.
Food and drink will be available for sale, but event-goers may bring their own meals as well as chairs and blankets.
Admission is $10 for those 13 and older; $5 for children ages 6-12; and free for children under 6.

Chicken Dinner and Car Show
Aug. 19, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Edward and Lucy Parish will host the 10th annual Chicken Dinner and Car Show, rain or shine, at 16150 Center St. in Parkman. Event features classic cars and trucks, Chinese auction, raffles, bingo, DJ Cory and family horse racing.
Tickets for the barbecue chicken dinner are $11 for adults and $6 for children 10 and under.
Donation of $10 requested for car show entries. Goodie bags and dash plaques given to first 100 cars. Three prizes will be awarded along with a $200 gas card, compliments of Best Funeral Home. Drawing at 4 p.m. Winner must be present

CCAT Car & Motorcycle Show

The Chardon Community Action Team will hold its 19th annual Car and Motorcycle Show on historic Chardon Square.
Registrations are still being accepted for cars and motorcycles until 1 p.m. the day of the show for all makes and models of cars and motorcycles, which will be professionally judged.

Cub Scout Recruitment

Cub Scout Pack 193 will hold a recruitment hike at Bessie Benner Metzenbaum Park. The pack is based out of Russell Township, but accepts any and all boys grades 1-5.

The Middlefield Chamber of Commerce’s sixth annual golf outing will be held at Rolling Green Golf Club in Huntsburg. Cost is $75 per player or $300 per team. Event includes skins games, proximity games, long drive contests and prizes for first, second and third places.
Registration is from 7:30-9 a.m. Tee off at 9 a.m. Event is a four-person scramble and includes lunch at the turn and dinner following golf.

Yoga at Chardon UMC

Auburn FD Clambake

The Auburn Fire Department is hosting its annual clambake and Chinese auction at the fire station located at 10950 Washington St. in Auburn Township.
Regular bake dinner costs $30 and includes a dozen clams, half a barbecue chicken, corn, yams, coleslaw, roll, soda and beer. Extra clams will be available for $10 per dozen, as well as hot dogs and chips for the kids.
There will also be live entertainment and a 50/50 raffle to benefit the fire department. The Auburn Firedevils will have cookbooks available.
