The Unknown Heirs at Law, Devisees, Legatees, Executors, and Administrators of the Estate of Wayne Reed, whose last place of residence is unknown and Unknown Spouse, if any, of Wayne Reed, whose last place of residence is known as 14640 Mayfield Road, East Claridon, OH 44033 but whose present place of residence is unknown, will take notice that on June 13, 2018, James B. Nutter & Company, filed its Complaint in Foreclosure in Case No. 18-F-000451 in the Court of Common Pleas Geauga County, Ohio, 100 Short Court, Chardon, OH 44024 alleging that the Defendants, The Unknown Heirs at Law, Devisees, Legatees, Executors, and Administrators of the Estate of Wayne Reed and Unknown Spouse, if any, of Wayne Reed, have or claim to have an interest in the real estate located at 14640 Mayfield Road, East Claridon, OH 44033, PPN #12-062000. A complete legal description may be obtained with the Geauga County Auditor’s Office located at 231 Main St., Chardon, OH 44024-1293.

The Petitioner further alleges that by reason of default of the Defendant(s) in the payment of a promissory note, according to its tenor, the conditions of a concurrent mortgage deed given to secure the payment of said note and conveying the premises described, have been broken, and the same has become absolute.

The Petitioner prays that the Defendant(s) named above be required to answer and set up their interest in said real estate or be forever barred from asserting the same, for foreclosure of said mortgage, the marshalling of any liens, and the sale of said real estate, and the proceeds of said sale applied to the payment of Petitioner’s claim in the property order of its priority, and for such other and further relief as is just and equitable.

The remainder, if any, shall be paid out of the general fund.

The remainder, if any, shall be paid out of the general fund.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING MEETING

AMENDMENT #1

Geauga County

Geauga County intends to amend Allocation #B-F-17-1AZ-1, a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) received from the Ohio Development Services Agency, Office of Community Development, a federally funded program administered by the State of Ohio. The proposed amendments are: Eliminate Activity 04 The Pleasant Hill County Home in the amount of $22,300, increase Activity 06 DDC Centers for Handicapped by $7,300 and add Activity for Planning in the amount of $15,000. All projects submitted meet the National Objective to benefit low to moderate income (LMI) persons. The purpose of the hearing is to provide citizens with an adequate opportunity to review and comment on the County’s proposed Allocation amendments before the County executes the amendment with the Ohio Development Services Agency, Office of Community Development. A resolution creating a forestry district per §727.011 O.R.C., directing the Shade Tree Commission to perform the work thereof with a budget of $70,000, levying and assessing on all non-exempt lots and lands the amount of $70,000 for one year to be paid pursuant to procedures in the Ohio Revised Code, certification by the Clerk of Council of the assessment and resolution to the County Auditor and notifying property owners of the assessment.

RESOLUTION NO. 20-18

An ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with Valley Freightliner Trucks to purchase one tandem axle cab and chassis in the amount of $112,530 and to enter into a contract with Concord Road Equipment Mfg. Inc. to purchase accessories and equipment for the vehicle for street maintenance and plowing in the amount of $122,118.33, without bid, per §125.04(B) O.R.C.

ORDINANCE NO. 3030

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT/AGREEMENT WITH DYNEGY ENERGY SERVICES EAST, LLC AS SUPPLIER OF MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC ENERGY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

An ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into a two year contract with Dynegy Energy Services East, LLC to supply retail municipal energy service for WWTP at a rate not to exceed $.06/kwh.

ORDINANCE NO. 3031

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING APPROPRIATIONS IN THE CITY OF CHARDON TREASURY FOR 2018 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

An ordinance adjusting appropriations as follows: increasing 682 Street Maintenance Capital (street construction) in the amount of $196,000, decreasing the appropriation in 212 Street Construction, Maintenance and Repair Fund in the amount of $196,000; increasing the 452 General Capital Improvement Reserve Fund in the amount of $162,000 as follows: 682 Street Maintenance Capital (storm sewer) in the amount of $27,000 and 682 Street Maintenance Capital (machinery and equipment) in the amount of $135,000.

ORDINANCE NO. 3032

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 123.22 (SIDEWALK FUND) AND ESTABLISHING SECTION 123.23 (SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT FUND) OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CHARDON.

An ordinance amending Section 123.22 (Sidewalk Fund) and establishing Section 123.23 (Sidewalk Improvement Fund) of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Chardon to allow sidewalk funds to be used for the sidewalk infill program.
