Christ Covenant Church, 16406 Kinsman Road in Middlefield, is holding a rummage sale of household items and clothing to benefit Charity Children’s Ministries. There will be a bake sale. Hours are Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

CV Herb Society Meets

Oct. 19, 12:30 p.m.

The Chagrin Valley Herb Society will meet at the Bainbridge Library for refreshments, a short business meeting and a presentation on herbal therapies with Kathleen Gips. Bring a mug for tea.

Free Community Breakfast

Oct. 20, 8:30-10:30 a.m.

Ledgewood Christian Church is hosting its free monthly community breakfast at the church located at 8261 Kinsman Road in Russell Township.

The menu includes pancakes, sausage, salmon patties, juice, coffee and tea. Ample parking is available in front and to the rear of the church building. All are welcome.

Crafts On The Square

Thompson Fire Department is sponsoring Crafts on the Square at the Thompson United Methodist Church. The event features wonderful crafters, Chinese auction and food on site.

Peace Lutheran Trunk or Treat

Oct. 20, 2-4 p.m.

Peace Lutheran Church is hosting a trunk or treat Halloween safe event in the lower parking lot and pavilion at the church located at 12686 Bass Lake Road in Munson Township. There will be treats given from a circle of trunks and games, plus donuts and cider in the pavilion. Costumes are optional.

Charity Bar Crawl

Oct. 20, 3-10 p.m.

Join for the third annual Bar Crawl 44 for the Cure. All are welcome to join the team traveling on Cleveland’s Rock Star Party Bus to five different bars along state Route 44.

All donations will go directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Eddy Fruit Farm/Kiwanis Park Clambake

Oct. 20, 5-7:30 p.m.

The fundraiser supports maintenance funds for special needs soccer fields and baseball fields at Clay Eddy Field / Kiwanis Park, 12079 Caves Road in Chester Township.

The clambake and steak roast includes beverages and live music. Cost for the clambake or steak roast is $40 per person. Extra clams are available for $10 per dozen.

American Legion Pancake Breakfast

Oct. 21, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The American Legion, Geauga County Council is hosting its annual early bird pancake breakfast benefit for Geauga County Veterans in Need at Burton American Legion Atwood-Mauck Post 459, 14052 Goodwin Ave. in Burton.

Enjoy all-you-can-eat buttermilk or blueberry pancakes with sausage or biscuits with sausage gravy. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 6-12 and free for youth under 6.

Trick Or Treat Fun Night

Maple Seminar & Trade Show

Join the Maple Producers of NE Ohio for their second annual maple seminar and trade show at Huntsburg Community Center. Speakers will give updates on regulations, woodland management, tree selection, invasive species, tubing, RO demo, RO cleanup, candy/cream demo and monitoring systems. Talk with maple equipment dealers displaying their equipment.

Join Blackbrook Audubon Society

Blackbrook Audubon Society will look for migrating birds on Oct. 27 in Ohio’s only national park, Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Meet at 9 a.m. at Beaver Marsh at the Ira Trailhead parking lot, 3801 Riverview Road, Peninsula. Dress for the weather and bring binoculars. Hambden Congregational Church is hosting Tables and Treats, a free indoor trick or treating event for the whole family, at the church located at 13840 G.A.R. Hwy. Hot dogs and chili will be served.

Chardon VFW Clambake

Oct. 27, 6-7 p.m.

Chardon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6519’s annual clambake will be held at the post located at 752 Water St. Cost is $25 per person for one dozen clams and half a chicken dinner, and $10 for extra clams.

Lil’ Goblin’s Gathering

Oct. 30, 5 p.m.

The Geauga County Historical Society is hosting a Lil’ Goblin’s Gathering on the grounds of Century Village Museum in Burton. The family-friendly evening will include traditional Halloween activities, trick and treating, wagon rides, stories, games and snacks.  Costumes are welcomed and encouraged.

Cost is $6 for children of members and $8 for children of nonmembers. The accompanying adults are free.

It is a reservation-only, pre-paid event. Groups will depart for trick-and-treating around the village in 15-minute increments starting at 5 p.m.

Strudel for Thanksgiving

Birthright of Chardon is selling strudel and pumpkin rolls just in time for Thanksgiving. Choose from apple, peach, blueberry, cherry with coconut, cream cheese with pineapple and pumpkin cream cheese.The strudel is unbaked and frozen to bake at home. Each strudel is 14 inches in length and cuts into about 12 servings; pumpkin rolls are 7 inches long.

Christmas Gathering

Nov. 2 and 3, 9 a.m.

All are welcome to join the annual Christmas Gathering boutique and tea held in the 1842 Tanner House at Chesterland Historical Village located at the corner of Caves and Mayfield roads in Chester Township.

The restored vintage home is decorated in holiday finery and each room is filled with fine, handcrafted gifts. Tea is served in the parlour.

Bainbridge Women’s Club will host its 41st annual holiday boutique at Bainbridge Town Hall, 17826 Chillicothe Road. Admission is free. Enjoy crafts, a bake sale, light lunch and raffle.

Metzenbaum Quilt & Craft Auction

Nov. 3, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Families and Friends of Metzenbaum Center are sponsoring the annual Amish quilt and craft auction at the center located at 8200 Cedar Road in Chester Township. Event features more than 25 handmade quilts, wreaths, Amish furniture, toys and more.

A silent auction and cash and carry holiday shop will round out the day’s activities. A hot lunch, refreshments and Amish baked goods will also be available.

Proceeds benefit the clients of Metzenbaum Center, Geauga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (GCBDD). Parking is free.

Taste of Geauga

Nov. 3, 6-8 p.m.

Taste of Geauga will be held in the new lodge at Claridon Woodlands Park, 11383 Claridon Troy Road in Claridon Township. The cost is $20 per person.

Local restaurants, caterers and food establishments will be sharing samples of their favorite menu selections. Guests will be invited to vote on the Best Bite award.

Christmas Boutique Vendors

St. Anselm Women’s Guild Annual Christmas Boutique will be held at St. Anselm School, 13013 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. There will be handcrafted and unusual items for holiday shopping, as well as a snack bar, bake sale and prize raffle with many great prizes. Admission is $1.
