The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office Dec. 28, 2018, through Jan. 3, 2019. In total, the sheriff’s office handled 369 calls during this seven-day period.

ANIMAL PROBLEM

Jan. 3

12:24 p.m., Bass Lake Road, Munson. West of Woodiebrook there are several turkeys running in and out of the roadway. UTL/GOA.

CITIZEN DISPUTE

Jan. 3

5:47 p.m., Owen Road, Parkman. Problem with neighbor’s goat coming on her property. It is currently on her property and dragging a tire that it is tied to. This has been an ongoing issue. Summons issued.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Dec. 31

5:48 p.m., Woodin Road, Hambden. Caller states his wife struck him a couple times and spit in his face. Female leaving. Unknown intoxication. Caller came home and she was mad. She smashed into the garage with the car. Caller is in back bedroom. No weapons in the home; empty glass of wine when caller got home. Unknown how much she drank. One arrest made. See report.

OVERDOSE

Jan. 1

9:46 a.m., Spring Street, Burton. 23-year-old male overdose. Last spoken with at 9-10 p.m. last night. He is cold and eyes are open. Not breathing. Deputies advised to check Crestview address for male subject who was with this male last night.

SUSPICIOUS

Jan. 2

5:53 p.m., Williams Road, Hambden. Caller states his wife received a text stating not to send any more explicit photos of his juvenile daughter. Spoke with complainant after contacting number. Likely a scam; number was blocked.

Jan. 3

4:07 p.m., Shedd Road, Middlefield. My daughter seems to have a secret admirer and we would like these calls to stop. He says things only when she answers. We have the number. Spoke with complainant and his daughter. Will try to make contact with person calling and advice was given.

THREATENING

Dec. 29

10:31 a.m., Betty Lou Drive, Middlefield. Subject had a text conversation with the caller’s husband about killing the caller. Third party threat, will conduct follow up.
