Geauga Growth Partnership, Kent State University at Geauga and Leadership Geauga will present “Geauga: State of the County” at the next Geauga Economic Leadership (G.E.L.) breakfast taking place at Kent State Geauga, 14111 Claridon-Troy Road in Burton.

50 Gun Bash

Feb. 2, 11 a.m.

Ducks Unlimited 50 Gun Bash will be held in the Pavilion building at Heritage Market Place, 15848 Nauvoo Road in Middlefield. Doors open and side raffles start at 11 a.m.

The main raffle will be drawn at 1 p.m. and the last drawn at 5:30 p.m. One gun will be given away every five minutes. Food will be served from 1-4 p.m.

Attendance tickets are $20 each, advance purchase only. Raffle only tickets are $10 each or three for $20.

Tickets are available from all Ducks Unlimited committee members or at Great Lakes Outdoor Supply stores in Middlefield and Chester Township.

WomenSafe Casino Night

Feb. 2, 6-10 p.m.

WomenSafe presents its 18th annual Casino Night at the Patrician Party Center, 33150 Lakeland Blvd., Eastlake.

The event includes a night of casino gaming managed by professional dealers, a silent auction, lucky number auction, wine pull, open bar, sit-down dinner and many other chances to win

Registration is $70 per person or $500 for a table of eight. Advance registration is required.

Newbury Kiwanis Pancake Breakfasts

Newbury Area Kiwanis Club is serving its all-you-can-eat pancake breakfasts every Sunday in February from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Newbury High School cafeteria, 14775 Auburn Road, Newbury Township.

Lantern Paint and Sip

Feb. 3, 3 p.m.

The Middlefield Recreation Department is hosting a sip and paint at the senior center located at 15820 Ridgewood Drive in Middlefield. Class includes appetizers. Bring a beverage one’s choice. Participants will be painting cardinals and birch trees on the glass panels of a lantern, which includes a battery-operated candle.

Class fee is $35 and includes step-by-step instruction from Debra Warren Miller and all art supplies. Register by Feb. 1. For information, call the recreation department at 440-632-5248.

VFW Meatball Sandwiches

Wednesdays, 5-7 p.m.

Chardon VFW Post 6519 will offer meatball sandwiches for dinner every Wednesday in February to complement its weekly Queen of Hearts drawing. Cost is $6.50 per serving, or $8.50 with french fries. The public is welcome.

Four Chaplains Program

Feb. 10, 3 p.m.

The Burton-Middlefield American Legion will host its annual Four Chaplains program at the Atwood-Mauck Post 459, 14052 Goodwin St. in Burton. The program is open to the public.
