Geauga Lyric Theater Guild presents the heartwarming family comedy “The Curious Savage” by John Patrick and directed by Mark Cipra.

It is the story of Ethel Savage, who is committed to The Cloisters Sanatorium by her scheming stepchildren in an attempt to wrest control of the fortune left to her by their father. A hilarious chain of events and an epic battle of wills ensues that will leave audiences laughing, crying, and wondering at the antics of Mrs. Savage and the endearing inmates of The Cloisters. Wall-to-wall fun with a poignant message about love and what really matters most in life make this an ideal show for all ages.

The show runs weekends March 15-24. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 and Sundays at 2 p.m.

GANG Celtic Celebration

March 19, 6:30-8 p.m.

The Geauga Art Network Group’s (GANG) will be celebrating all things Celtic at their 19th annual Celtic Music Sing-Along in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. The program, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Heinen’s Café, 402 Center St. in Chardon.

Music lovers of all ages are invited to join in the jam session as Geauga minstrel Nicky Bucur is joined by surprise guests who will be performing a lively selection of Irish and other Celtic tunes. The community is invited to bring along any nostalgic items reflecting on their Celtic heritage such as sheet music, poems, keepsakes and personal reminiscences.

Both professional and amateur musicians are invited to bring along their own instruments and join in the fun.
