Alphabet Theatre presents Joseph Robinette’s “Get Bill Shakespeare Off the Stage” at Christ Presbyterian Church, 12419 Chillicothe Roadin Chester Township.

Join for a family-friendly farce that is sure to enchant and amuse. After some humorous and, at times, bitter differences of opinion, students and their new drama teacher develop a better understanding of each other and the very playwright they wanted to get off the stage.The exciting show, with its lively backstage action and unique character developments, is a director’s dream and an audience’s delight.

Tickets are $10 per person and $5 for ages 10 and under.

Alphabet Theatre is a theater community in Geauga County for kids in grades 6-12 to learn community building skills while participating in theatrical production.

Fairmount Dance Recital

May 4, 1 p.m.

Fairmount Center for the Arts will present the “May the 4th Dance with You” dance recital at Chagrin Falls Performing Arts Center, 400 East Washington St., Chagrin Falls.

The performance features over 120 dancers, ranging from age 3 years through teens, showcasing choreography in tap, jazz, ballet, and hip hop.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for senior citizens ages 62 years and older, and $8 for children ages 3-12 years. Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling 440-338-3171 or will be available 60 minutes prior to the performance.

“Let’s Dance” Concert

May 17, 7:30-8:30 p.m.

The Lake Effect Concert Band will present a free concert – “Let’s Dance” – at Park Auditorium on the Chardon Square.

The Lake Effect Concert Band is a 65 member community-based adult ensemble that performs under the sponsorship of the Snowbelt Musical Arts Association (SMAA) and direction of conductor and educator Greg Hillis.

The family-friendly event is free and open to all. Donations are always appreciated.
